Illuminate landscapes so withered and gone
The waning of moonlight gives birth to the dawn

Artifacts upon the fire, things which YHVH won't desire
Burn these texts of pagan times - remnants and unholy signs
Scrolls and books from other lands never touched by Christian hands
Start the fires of ignorance; burn it for Theophilus

Sifting through enigmas, historical revisions
Searching for that which has been burned
Lost to imperialism, wars fought in the name of religion
Great tomes whose pages can't be turned
